I love yin-yang imagery of opposites interacting in complementary harmony, each opposite containing a little bit of the other polarity. It is good to remember the truth that the duality of yin and yang is, in fact, an indivisible whole.
And I love seeing various interpretations of yin-yang imagery. Here's a few favourites --
This final yin-yang image is a 1914 Cartier brooch of gold, platinum, sapphires and diamonds. Gorgeous, isn't it?

I fancy the Cartier piece. I wonder if it's onHSN?
...Debra, you found some great ones.
Beautiful imagery. I love your broach. I imagine you don’t get to wear it often.
I think my two favorite ones is the one with the dragons, because who doesn't want pet dragon's and the guy with the books. Although that staircase one's very striking.
Love the dragons!
Go Oilers!
@ Moving with MItchell -- Yes, I just keep it in an old margarine container along with all my other Cartier jewelry, lol.
Interesting and clever art indeed 👍🏼🎑
Love the swans. I have a yin/yang photo of Tuxedo and MaxGoldberg.
the man lying on the books, what a great idea. And the brooch, I want it!
I will take the brooch! Isn't it beautiful? It kills me to watch Antique Road Show when someone inherits something like this and supposedly, they will have no idea that they have a piece with real diamonds. Even when dirty, diamonds should be unmistakable!
Oooo... Love the dragons, LOVE the books. Banned Book Week will be in September (I think?) and that would make a fine image.
Dragons, I love dragons, but the clever one is the guy on the books! Wow!
Thanks for the visuals today!
LOOK/KOOL
What a wonderful collection to start my day, THANK YOU!
The guy with the book, for a variety of reasons.
The sun & moon, the swans, the kittens and, yes ... that brooch is simply stunning!
What a nice series. I love the dragon!
Ah!
Love the idea of Ying/Yang. Have always been attracted to my opposites. And love the brooch and the dragons!
XOXO
I'm such a sucker for books so that one just speaks to my heart
That Cartier brooch shows us what jewelry design should look like!! Beautiful. Elegant. Classy.
Hello Debra, I am not a fan of elaborate jewels*, but I really like the elegant piece you illustrated. I can't imagine what the other French fry sauce is--it cannot be vinegar or cheese, so what is it? The book image is striking, but to lay books down open like that is not a good idea, and then to lie down on them is an even worse idea. I always have a stack of books whose spines need to be reglued--one can only imagine the carnage from that stunt.

*That said, I admit I once reviewed a Cartier jewel exhibit:

I have favs in here but the dragons had me along with the brooch and the wild stairs.
I like the dragons the best but all of them are great.
The staircases are breathtaking, but my fave is the delicate posey seal: charming, yet medieval!
@ Parnassus (Jim) -- The other French fry sauce looks like plain old mayo to me, or perhaps a Ranch type of dressing? I know both of those are popular with sweet potato fries, although all the fries here appear to be simple spuds. And thanks for your post link about the Cartier and Dynasty jewelry exhibit, it was great! My favourites were the diamond and sapphire leopard brooch, and the coral phoenix hairpin.
Love these yin yang interpretations. Some beautiful and some funny. The diamond and sapphire brooch perfectly illustrates the superiority of colored gems over diamonds - sapphires are vibrant! Diamonds are merely expensive sparkle.
Some of those images are stunning.
As is the broach. Unfortunately such shiny pretty things are wqyyyyyy over budget for me.
A girl can dream
This is so creative
That is one drunken stairway.
I love these! I was an LMT for 14 years and did a lot of energy work on my clients. These are a great reminder of those times!
I like the boy and the books best.
The understanding of indivisible whole comes later in life sadly but once you get it life is different for better.
I loved this post dear Debra 👍👌♥️
You rock !!!
Brilliant, Debra, especially the last one!
whee, Yea! love all of them
